Buying guide: Intel Core Ultra desktop processors (LGA1851)
Reading the model name
K means the chip is unlocked for overclocking on a Z890 board. F means it has no integrated graphics, so you need a graphics card. KF combines both. A chip with neither letter has integrated graphics and runs at fixed limits.
Boards and coolers
Use an LGA1851 motherboard with DDR5 memory. Most LGA1700 coolers fit, because the mounting is the same.
Common questions
Do I need a graphics card with a Core Ultra F processor?
Yes. F models have no integrated graphics, so the PC will not display anything without a separate card.
